Out of 900 learners in the South East of England studying for a NVQ
Certificate/Diploma in Retail Skills Pauline Kew who works at Foxbury
Farm Shop at Brize Norton, Oxfordshire has just been presented with
The Learner of the Month Award by First 4 Skills, the training body.
Mrs Kew is undertaking a work-based training course allowing her
to further develop her skills in retail. This vocational qualification
provides high class learning while at work and allows the employee to
work at their own pace with an assessor visiting every 6 weeks.
Mrs Kew’s mentor is Rebecca Dawes of Foxbury Farm Shop who said “We
pride ourselves on encouraging all staff of any age to better
themselves at work, with training courses both externally and
internally, this benefits not only the employee but also our business,
Pauline has worked hard during her course and it is a credit to her
that she was recognised as the best in the South East with course work
above and beyond the course requirement”
