Tims Dairy’s Yogurt ‘Double Whammy’ of Gold Star Awards at the 2011 Great Taste Awards

29 July 2011

Tims Dairy Limited from Buckinghamshire is celebrating after winning a double whammy of prestigious 2011 Great Taste Awards.  The family run dairy, with over 60 years of yogurt heritage, has been presented with coveted one-star Gold Great Taste Awards for two of its fresh, healthy yogurts - Greek style natural yogurt and Greek style yogurt with honey - a fantastic achievement.

Tims Dairy specialise in making yogurts with great taste using natural ingredients and fresh British milk. Their range includes Greek style yogurt, wholemilk yogurt and low fat yogurt; they also produce soured cream and crème fraiche. For many years their range was supplied to foodservice customers and it was in response to consumers who had tasted their yogurt in hotels, schools and hospitals, that, in 2009, they developed and launched a superb range for retail. The eye-catching pots are now available in specialist stockists, farm shops, delis, foodhalls, Wholefoods Market, Ocado and selected Waitrose stores.

Chris Timotheou, Managing Director, said: “We are delighted with these awards. Winning Great Taste Awards recognizes the hard work, passion and dedication that go into producing our yogurt. We believe in making yogurt with great taste using the best, freshest ingredients and quality is a top priority for our production team at the dairy in Buckinghamshire.”

The Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, are now in their 18th year and going from strength to strength.  Their judging standards are the most rigorous in the UK and they only endorse products of the highest quality.
