Retailers, chefs, restaurateurs, food service and hospitality suppliers, and caterers at visitor attractions joined members of Tourism South East to taste Local Flavours at a special Trade Show in Aylesbury recently. The Local Flavours trade show, held on 26 February, promoted a range of products from Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Berkshire, including wines, beers, cakes, meat and game, preserves, chocolates and cheeses. Tamara Schiopu, Co-ordinator of the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire (BBO) Food Group commented: “ Our members found it a great opportunity to meet people from businesses in and around Buckinghamshire who enjoyed tasting and then placing orders for the high quality food and drink available in this area.”
Tourism South East and the BBO Food Group are running a programme of events called Fresh Skills for Chefs, which include Chefs Tours and masterclasses to enable more best quality seasonal local produce to feature on menus in pubs, restaurants and hotels. For more about our event, view |
