Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes
There’s an abundance of mouth-watering local food and drink available throughout Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

Farmers helping to keep our countryside outstandingly beautiful produce high quality and award-winning meat and poultry. You really can ‘eat the view’ when you buy from farm shops and farmers’ markets, and enjoy meals in pubs and restaurants serving local produce.

Delicious food and drink grown and made in the county are two good reasons for visiting Buckinghamshire. In one day you could explore a microbrewery, taste draught beers, pick your own strawberries (trying not to eat too many!), and admire skilled chocolatiers at work creating gorgeous chocolates.

You can visit some farms, such as Collings Hanger Farm at Prestwood where you’ll find out where the chickens and turkeys live, what pigs feed on, and how bread flour is made.

Successful local food businesses such as a specialist syrup-maker, a mail-order rare breed meat farm, and award-winning goat dairy are meeting the increasing demand for tasty and delicious produce, and boosting the local economy.

Did you know that Milton Keynes is growing? There are not only more homes and jobs, but more fruit and vegetables too. Citizens are keen to eat seasonal tasty food they can buy from farmers’ markets (there are five held at least once a month in historic market towns and villages around the city), in farm shops and specialist food stores.
