Welcome
to the Berks, Bucks & Milton Keynes and Oxon Food Group
We have moved! To Oxfordshire County
Council. As of 17 September 2009 please find new contact
details in Contact Us
Membership of the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Milton
Keynes, and Oxfordshire Food Groups brings with it tangible
benefits for you and your business.
In the last five years our members have seen their
profits grow as they took advantage of sales, tasting
podiums and stands at local, national and international
shows, subsidised training courses, and FREE publicity on
our website and through press releases and articles.
We hold networking events when we invite guest speakers
to discuss relevant topics such as branding, marketing,
publicity and website design, and packaging.
Our successful annual trade show brings chefs,
deli-owners, retailers and others in the foodservice sector
to you. We know how hard it can be to contact chefs and
deli-owners, so we do that for our members, with great
success for everyone.
Caterers, chefs, broadcasters, journalists and food
writers call the BBO Food Group first when they want to know
more about tasty local food, what’s in season and where they
can source the best quality ingredients.
When you’re a member of the BBO Food Group we can
highlight your business and promote your products.
This is what some of our members say: Carol Nielsen
from Brightwell Vineyard, Oxon: “Being a member of the Food
Group has definitely opened new market outlets for our young
company. The membership fee is paid off many times over.”
New member Ruth Lachmann of Lachmann’s, MK came to the Food
Group for help in finding a retailer for her home-made pies.
“It’s helped me plan my expenditure and income, and I can
see the direction for my business to develop. Following your
advice I’m working with a marketing company to look at
branding, packaging and bar codes.”
Clare Marriage
from Doves Farm Foods, Patron Members for three years
comments: “It is wonderful to have the Food Group where
people can find professional advice, meet other people,
share information and network. Support from the Food Group
means it’s much easier for small scale producers to be
empowered early on in their business development.”
The three groups work as a community interest company
and are supported by the South England Development Agency
and by local authorities to "promote the production and
consumption of locally produced foods" (The Mission).
